Looking for Something to do this Thanksgiving Weekend?
Come join us for a Spanish Gathering Saturday evening at 6 pm! There will be a Worship Service, followed by a meal of ‘discada’ a Mexican dish from north of Mexico. Please bring a salad or dessert to share!
Monday we will be having our annual Traditional Canadian Thanksgiving dinner at 5pm.
If you missed the sign up sheet that went around during church these past weeks, and you would like to bring something, please email or call Mo. If you aren’t able to bring food, come anyway! We look forward to gathering together.
You will remember that each year at our Thanksgiving dinner we take a special offering and this year we will be accepting cash donations towards the refugee fund as well canned or dry goods for the Aberdeen Food Bank.
Lastly, at our Sunday morning service, we will have a special Thanksgiving display at the front of the church. We invite you to take part in this by bringing along something that represents one thing that you are grateful for this year. For example, I just might bring a pound of coffee to represent not only my favourite beverage, but also the relationships that have grown over the many cups of coffee I have had over the years. Feel free to be as creative with this as you want!
